PATRICK J. KENNEDY
Flight Officer Patrick J. Kennedy was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1920. His family moved to Windsor Ontario in 1926. After attending W.D. Lowe Technical high school in Windsor, he enlisted in the RCAF. Following his flight training in Windsor, Trenton and Brandon Manitoba, he achieved rank of pilot and was assigned with RCAF 427 (Lion) Squadron based in Leeming England.
Flying Halifax and Lancaster bomber aircraft, Pat and his crew flew bombing missions over Germany. On November 18, 1943 while returning over the English channel, Pat and his aircraft went missing. His body was never recovered.
Pat was 23 years old.
