DR. LEONARD CLARK JENNER
“I was related to the late Dr. Jenner by marriage. His niece Shirley Nicholls and I were married two months after his passing.
Dr. Jenner was a young Doctor from Charing Cross, Ontario when he enlisted in the RCAF. He served in both Canada and in England. There was talk around the family table that he had been a Pilot Officer, and a conflicting story that he had served as a Doctor to flight & ground crews.
His discharge rank of Squadron Leader leads me to believe that he had flown.
After his discharge, he set up medical practice in Kingsville, Ontario and raised his family. His practice continued until his untimely death due to a heart attack.
In addition to being the foremost town Doctor, he also served as Coroner for Kingsville and a neighbouring township.
All in all, he made quite a contribution to Canada and the Kingsville community as a whole.”
