Aero Engine Mechanic.  Trained at Galt Aircraft school.  In January 1943 posted overseas from #14 SFTS Aylmer, Ontario to RCAF No. 6 Bombing Group 408 Squadron.  Arrived March 1943 at Leeming Air Station, Yorkshire, England and spent 7 months working on “Halifax” 4 engine bombers.  The 408 squadron moved a few miles north of York, England to “Linton-on-Ouse” in September 1943 and converted to ‘Lancaster’ B.MkII - Hercules engine aircraft.
